Abstract:
Provided is a control device capable of reducing the time required for starting an AC rotary electric machine. An inverter (11), which converts power between a DC power supply (2) and an AC rotary electric machine (MG), is equipped with multiple sets of upper-stage switching elements (21) and lower-stage switching elements (22), which are series-connected between the positive and negative electrodes on the DC side, and undergo complementary on-off control. This control device (10), which controls the inverter (11), executes a short-circuiting process when the AC rotary electric machine (MG) is stopped, whereby all of the upper-stage switching elements (21) or all of the lower-stage switching elements (22) are controlled so as to be in the on state.
