Abstract:
As a result of decreases in the intake pipe negative pressure (pump loss) of internal combustion engines due to the introduction of low-fuel consumption technology, such as downsizing turbochargers and idle-stop technology, it is becoming increasingly difficult to discharge evaporated fuel in the fuel tank (evaporation) using negative pressure in the intake pipe of the internal combustion engine (evaporation purge).
Accordingly, according to the present invention a control device provided with a purge control unit which controls a purge valve for discharging evaporated fuel in the fuel tank or in a canister into the intake pipe of the internal combustion engine, and a power transmission control unit which controls a power transmission mechanism between the internal combustion engine and a drive wheel, purges the evaporation into the intake pipe by opening the evaporation valve by means of the purge control unit in a state in which the clutch is disengaged by the power transmission control unit and the vehicle is coasting.
