Abstract:
The present invention provides a control device for calculating an engine intake pipe pressure, and the objective of the invention is to improve the accuracy of a calculated value of the intake pipe pressure by calculating the humidity of air and correcting for changes in a gas constant due to changes in the total number of moles of air. This control device controls an engine to which are attached an air quantity measuring unit which measures the quantity of air passing through a throttle valve provided in an engine intake passage, and a humidity measuring unit which measures the humidity of the air passing through the throttle valve, the control device being provided with: an air quantity calculating unit which calculates the quantity of air flowing into a cylinder of the engine, on the basis of the result of a measurement performed by the air quantity measuring unit; and a pressure calculating unit which calculates the pressure in an intake manifold on the downstream side of the throttle valve, on the basis of the air quantity measured by the air quantity measuring unit, the air quantity calculated by the air quantity calculating unit, and the humidity measured by the humidity measuring unit.
