Abstract:
A drone (10) detects an object in the surroundings and, if the distance to the object is less than a threshold value, issues a warning that can be "sensorily" recognized, such as a sound, light, or odor, to the object. The "object" is one for which there is a risk that the drone (10) will collide therewith; conventional examples of the object include animals such as humans. However, the object may instead be, e.g., a robot or another artificial object that moves autonomously. Thus, the object in the surroundings of the mid-flight drone (10) may be of various types or may assume various states, and there is demand for a suitable warning method allowing response to these types or states. Accordingly, in the present embodiment: an object in the surroundings of a drone (10) is recognized; a threshold value for the distance between the drone (10) and the object is set in accordance with the result of recognition, the threshold value serving as a reference for issuing a warning to the object; and any of a plurality of warning methods is selected in accordance with the result of recognition of the object.
