Abstract:
The invention relates to control gear for illumination means, said gear comprising a low-voltage power supply circuit which can be used for example to supply power to integrated circuits (6) of the control gear, such as ASICs or micro-controllers. In a starting phase of the control gear, immediately after the activation of the power supply source (VBus) of said gear, the low-voltage power supply circuit is designed to generate a relatively high starting current (IAnlauf) in a first short phase, said current being used to charge a storage element (3) that provides the low-voltage current (ULade), and in a second phase that is longer than the first phase, the circuit is designed to generate a charging current for the storage element (3) that is lower than the starting current (IAnlauf).
