Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the technical field of air conditioners. Particularly provided are a control method for an air conditioner, and an air conditioner. A sterilizing lamp, a first light sensor and a second light sensor are arranged in a shell of an indoor unit of the air conditioner. The control method comprises: insofar as a sterilizing lamp operates, turning on a first light sensor; acquiring a light intensity collected by the first light sensor, and denoting the light intensity as a first light intensity; comparing the first light intensity with a first standard light intensity; if the first light intensity is less than the first standard light intensity, turning on a second light sensor; acquiring a light intensity collected by the second light sensor, and denoting the light intensity as a second light intensity; comparing the second light intensity with the first standard light intensity; and if the second light intensity is less than the first standard light intensity, making an air conditioner send prompt information of a fault of the sterilizing lamp. When the sterilizing lamp has a fault, a reminder can be sent to a user in a timely manner, so as to maintain or replace the sterilizing lamp; and the accuracy of determination is high.
