Abstract:
The present invention relates to the technical field of household appliances, and specifically provides a control method for an air conditioner and an air conditioner, aiming to solve the problem that air shielding apparatuses of existing air conditioners have only one function and have a low price-performance ratio. For the foregoing purpose, the air conditioner of the present invention comprises an indoor unit and an air shielding apparatus, the air shielding apparatus being capable of blocking air discharged from an air outlet, and the control method of the present invention comprises: when the air conditioner is in the process of executing a self-cleaning mode, enabling the air shielding apparatus to block the air outlet. By means of the foregoing arrangement, in addition to being able to prevent the air discharged from the air outlet from directly blowing toward a user, the air shielding apparatus of the present invention can also block the air outlet while the air conditioner is in the process of executing the self-cleaning mode, so as to prevent dust discharged from the air outlet from blowing toward the user, thereby improving the price-performance ratio of the air shielding apparatus.
