A control method and device for a hydraulically-controlled turning gear system of a motor rotor. The control method comprises: establishing a length dimension relation table between a plurality of hydraulic cylinders of a hydraulically-controlled turning gear system (S51, S61, S71); selecting a reference hydraulic cylinder (S52, S62, S72); obtaining current length dimensions of the plurality of hydraulic cylinders at an error correction position (S53, S63, S73), wherein the error correction position is where the hydraulic cylinders complete at least one driving stroke; and adjusting, by taking the current length dimension of the reference hydraulic cylinder as determination reference, the length dimensions of other hydraulic cylinders during the next driving stroke to conform to the length dimension relation table. The control device comprises a first detection unit (81), a storage unit (82), and a control unit (83). By using the control method and device for a hydraulically-controlled turning gear system of a motor rotor, the dimension error accumulated between the hydraulic cylinders can be dynamically corrected during a turning gear operation process, and the work precision and operating reliability of the turning gear system are improved.
