A control method for a terminal device, and a storage medium, a general meter device and an electric meter system. The control method comprises: determining power distribution data of a plurality of terminal devices, wherein the power distribution data comprises the total power of all sampling time points within a specified duration, and the total power is the sum of the power of the terminal devices at all the sampling time points (S51); determining whether the power distribution data meets a power overload condition (S52); and if the power distribution data meets the power overload condition, controlling each terminal device according to the priority of the terminal device (S53). By means of the control method, the turning-on/turning-off of terminal devices can be scientifically and rationally managed in the case of an overload, and the terminal devices are intelligently managed, thereby avoiding the unnecessary influence of turning off all the terminal devices in a one-size-fits-all manner on production operations or domestic life, and thus facilitating the improvement of the user experience.
