Abstract:
Provided is a control method for a vehicle comprising: a generator; an engine connected to the generator; a drive motor that drives the vehicle; and a battery electrically connected to the generator and the drive motor. In the vehicle, power generated by the generator is supplied to at least one of the battery and the drive motor. The control method includes: if a temperature of the battery is a predetermined temperature or lower, calculating a drive torque target value on the basis of vehicle requested power and the state of the battery; torque-controlling the generator on the basis of the drive torque target value; and rotation speed-controlling the engine, on the basis of a predetermined reference low rotation speed, to execute low power generation control for generating power by the generator.
