Abstract:
A drawing/rolling control method capable of manufacturing a raw tube with high dimensional accuracy and suppressing a trouble in rolling. The groove bottom wall thickness of the raw tube (P) is measured on a &num 1 stand with an ultrasonic wall thickness meter (1) installed between the &num 1 stand and a &num 2 stand, the outer diameter of a mandrel bar (B) is calculated based on the set value of a roll gap and the groove bottom wall thickness of the raw tube (P) on the &num 1 stand, and the longitudinal portion of the mandrel bar (B) at which its outer diameter is calculated based on information on the position of a bar retainer (BR) is specified. By repeating the steps above, the longitudinal distribution of the outer diameters of the mandrel bar is calculated, the longitudinal portions of the mandrel bar in contact with the raw tube on subsequent stage stands are specified based on the information on the position of the bar retainer, and the roll gaps on the subsequent stage stands are set based on the outer diameters of the specified longitudinal portions of the mandrel bar.
