Provided are a control system (110) having both an electronic control mode and a mechanical control mode, and a condensing unit. The control system (110) comprises: a data acquisition system; an electronic controller that performs operational analysis on the basis of acquired operating parameters and provides an instruction for controlling the operation of a condensing unit; and a plurality of electronic switching elements, wherein the control system (110) can control the operation of the condensing unit in an electronic control mode or a mechanical control mode; the control system (110) comprises a mode conversion device that is started only in the case that the electronic controller fails, so as to convert the control mode of the condensing unit from the electronic control mode to the mechanical control mode implemented only by means of some of the electronic switching elements. The control system (110) can be switched to the mechanical control mode in time when the electronic control mode fails, so as to ensure the normal operation of the unit, and therefore, the operation reliability of the condensing unit can be improved with low cost.
