Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of controlling the change in the air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture when the fuel being used in an internal combustion engine is switched in a control system for a multifuel internal combustion engine capable of using a gaseous fuel and a liquid fuel. To solve this problem, in a control system for a multifuel internal combustion engine capable of using a gaseous fuel and a liquid fuel, the present invention changes the amount of the burned gas remaining in the cylinders before and after the switching of the fuel used by the internal combustion engine, and thus uses the heat of the residual gas to control the change in the amount of fuel adhering to the wall surface.
