Abstract:
In order to solve the problem of conventional control systems that respective drawing data must be prepared for individual programmable displays, disclosed is a control system provided with a programmable display which is independently controllable from an external device, wherein the system is capable of preventing a horizontal development failure at the time of changing drawing data by creating the same and common drawing data, and capable of saving operations required for modifying the drawing data. The programmable display (100) is provided with a nonvolatile memory (110) for storing machine specification information (111), machine-specific control definition information (113), and drawing data (112); an external device communication processing unit (103) which communicates with an external device (200) on the basis of the machine specification information (111) and the drawing data (112); a work memory (120) for storing specific machine control information (203) acquired though the external device communication processing unit (103); and a control unit (104) for controlling the programmable display (100) on the basis of the specific machine control information (121) stored in the work memory (120).
