Abstract:
Provided according to an embodiment of the present invention is a control system for switching a DC-DC voltage converter from a buck operation mode to a safe operation mode. The DC-DC voltage converter includes a DC-DC voltage converter control circuit having a high-side integrated circuit and a low-side integrated circuit. The high-side integrated circuit has a plurality of first FET switches formed therein. The low-side integrated circuit has a plurality of second FET switches formed therein. The control system comprises a digital input/output device, a first application, a second application, and a microcontroller having a hardware abstraction layer. The first application transmits a first command value to the hardware abstraction layer in order to transition the plurality of first FET switches and the plurality of second FET switches to an open operation state.
