Abstract:
A vehicle (110) with a bonnet release system (10) to selectively permit the bonnet (112) to be opened, the bonnet release system (10) including first and second latch arrangements (12, 28) with first and second controllers (20, 36) to open the respective latch arrangements (12, 28). Opening of the first latch arrangement (12) moves the bonnet to an unlocked but unreleased condition, and opening of the second latch arrangement (28) moving the bonnet to a released condition. The second latch arrangement (28) can only be opened after the first latch arrangement (12) has been opened if one or more required conditions are met, such as a particular time interval occurring between opening of the first and second latch arrangements (12, 28), and the vehicle (10) is not moving.
