Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a control system for a vehicle which can prevent battery degradation both in situations in which the battery temperature during vehicle start-up is high or is low.
[Solution] This control system VC for a vehicle is provided with a vehicle air conditioner 1 which is powered by a battery 55 to condition the air in the vehicle cabin and which adjusts the temperature of the battery 55, and a control unit which controls travel of the vehicle and operation of the vehicle air conditioner, wherein, when the vehicle has started, if the temperature of the battery 55 is lower than a prescribed permissible lower limit temperature, air conditioning inside of the vehicle cabin by the vehicle air conditioner 1 is prohibited, and start-up battery temperature control is performed for heating the battery 55 by means of the vehicle air conditioner 1.
