Abstract:
When a current topography includes an uphill gradient and a downhill gradient positioned forward of the uphill gradient, a controller determines a virtual design surface that includes: a first design surface that is inclined more gradually than the uphill gradient; and a second design surface that is inclined in relation to the first design surface, and has a more gradual incline than the downhill gradient. The controller generates a command signal for causing the work machine to move along the virtual design surface.
