Abstract:
A sensor outputs a signal indicating a digging start position for a work vehicle. A controller determines an angle of inclination for an imaginary design plane extending from the digging start position so that the amount of ground between the imaginary design plane and the current topography is a prescribed target amount of ground. The controller generates a command signal that causes the work vehicle to move along an imaginary design plane extending from the digging start position in a direction inclined to the angle of inclination.
