Abstract:

Provided is a control valve for a variable displacement compressor, configured so that the influence of refrigerant pressure acting on a main valve body can be effectively cancelled, the complexity of a structure can be avoided, and an increase in the size of a construction can be avoided. This control valve for a variable displacement compressor is provided with a pressure equalization passage 15 which introduces a suction pressure Ps acting on the upper end of a main valve body 10 into a Ps introduction chamber 48B provided at the lower end of the main valve body 10, and which causes the suction pressure Ps to act on the lower end of the main valve body. When (the solenoid section 30A of) an electromagnetic actuator 30 is de-energized (that is, when a valve opening 22 is fully open), the introduction of pressure Pc in a crank chamber into the Ps introduction chamber 48B from a Pc inlet-outlet opening 26 is blocked, the suction pressure Ps is introduced into the Ps introduction chamber 48B through the pressure equalization passage 15, and the suction pressure Ps acts on both the upper and lower ends of the main valve body 10.
