Abstract:
Provided is a controller which can satisfactorily control deteriorated combustion incident to inflow of a large amount of blowby gas into a cylinder at the time of valve reset from a valve stop state in an internal combustion engine (10) equipped with blowby gas processing equipment (52) and having variable valve mechanisms (40, 42) which can stop at least an intake valve (36) or an exhaust valve (38) under a closed state. During the fuel cut of the internal combustion engine (10), a valve stop control for stopping the intake valve (36) and the exhaust valve (38) under a closed state is carried out. The difference ΔA/F between a predetermined target air fuel ratio and an actual air fuel ratio detected by an A/F sensor (64) at the time of valve reset is acquired. At the next and subsequent valve reset times, a fuel injection amount is corrected to decrease by an amount of fuel corresponding to the dirrerence ΔA/F.
