Title:
CONTROLLER FOR TAKING MEASURES AGAINST ABNORMAL SHIFT UPON STARTING MOTOR-DRIVEN VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/142223
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Turning ON an ignition switch at t1 causes a travel driving system to start at t2, whereby a P/N prohibition (parking-lock release prohibition) request from an electric motor controller will disappear. Thus, releasing the parking lock would essentially cause the vehicle to start moving in response to a shifter being held at position D. However, when the parking-lock release prohibition status is found immediately before t2 and the shifter is at position D at t2, the vehicle is prevented from starting to move as mentioned above, by allowing a current shift prohibition flag to take over the parking-lock release prohibition status found immediately before t2 for a duration until the shifter is returned to position Home (H) at t3. After t3, the current shift prohibition flag is in a parking-lock release permission status. Thus, when the shifter is placed in position D at t4, the parking lock is released enabling the vehicle to run. As such, without additional parts and at low costs, the vehicle is prevented from starting to move even by restarting the travel driving system with the shifter placed in an other than reference position.
