Abstract:
A controller for a vehicle equipped with two inverters determines whether a detector is conducting an insulation assessment (S10). If the insulation assessment is not being conducted (NO in S10), then the controller provides random control to the two inverters to randomly vary carrier frequencies (fa, fb) associated respectively therewith (S12). On the other hand, if the insulation assessment is being conducted (YES in S10), the controller prohibits the random control to fix the carrier frequencies (fa, fb) to respective reference frequencies (fas, fbs) (S11). The reference frequencies (fas, fbs) are set in advance in a manner such that the difference (Δfs) between the reference frequencies is greater than a predetermined value (f1).
