Abstract:
Provided is a coating composition, which can be used for passivating a metal surface, and comprises: water; a compound containing one or more epoxy groups, not including an epoxy silane; a compound containing one or more amino groups; a transition metal compound; and phosphoric acid and/or phosphate. The coating composition does not contain chromium. Also provided is a method for passivating a metal surface, comprising coating the metal surface with the coating composition.
