Abstract:
A D/A converter 400 converts a digital signal DIN of n bits (n ≥ 2) into a differential analog signal. A higher-order conversion unit 410 generates a first higher-order voltage VU_P and a second higher-order voltage VU_N which monotonically change with mutually opposite polarities for the m higher-order bits (1 ≤ m < n) of the digital signal DIN. A lower-order conversion unit 420 generates a first lower-order voltage VL_P and a second lower-order voltage VL_N which monotonically change with mutually opposite polarities for the (n-m) lower-order bits of the digital signal. A first amplifier 430 receives one of the first higher-order voltage VU_P and the second higher-order voltage VU_N and one of the first lower-order voltage VL_P and the second lower-order voltage VL_N, and outputs one differential analog signal VDAC_P. A second amplifier 440 has the same configuration as the first amplifier 430, receives the other of the first higher-order voltage VU_P and the second higher-order voltage VU_N and the other of the first lower-order voltage VL_P and the second lower-order voltage VL_N, and outputs another differential analog signal VDAC_N.
