Abstract:
According to the present invention, a switching converter 130 has an input line that receives a DC voltage VIN, and an output line connected to a smoothing capacitor 102. A switch MC2 and an inrush current prevention resistor 104 are provided in series to the input line. A controller 200 forcibly turns off the switch MC2 and abnormally stops a converter device 100 (i) when the voltage VDC of the smoothing capacitor 102 does not reach a threshold within a predetermined time after the switch MC2 is turned on or (ii) when the temperature of the inrush current prevention resistor 104 is higher than a predetermined first threshold.
