Abstract:
A converter and a traction drive system. The converter comprises: a TCU, an auxiliary inverter, and an N-fold converter module, wherein N is a positive integer. The converter module comprises: a four-quadrant rectifier that has two bridge arms, a four-quadrant rectifier that has three bridge arms, an inverter that has three bridge arms and an intermediate DC loop; control pulses of the four-quadrant rectifiers are staggered by the TCU in sequence for output; and the converter is fully sealed and is provided with a shielded laminated contact at an incoming line. The converter can implement shaft control, meet GOST standards, reduce the weight of the device, and improve the maintainability of the device.
