Abstract:
Provided are a conveyance device in which, at the time of delivery and reception of
an article, the attitude of the article can be switched over to a predetermined attitude
with the article sucked by sufficient force, and a box packing device having the
conveyance device. The box packing device (1) has a delivery/reception mechanism
(20) for arraying pieces of merchandise (X) in an upstanding attitude relative
to a conveyance mechanism (40) placed on the downstream side. In the delivery/reception
mechanism (20), a delivery/reception table (22) for receiving the merchandise
(X) piece by piece and switching over the attitude of the merchandise (X) has a
first opening (22b) formed in a surface in contact with the merchandise (X), a
second opening (22c) formed in the back side of the surface with the first opening,
and a chamber (22e) for forming an inner space (S) for interconnecting the first
and second openings (22b, 22c). At a position (P1) at which the merchandise (X)
is received from the conveyance device (10) placed on the upstream side of the
delivery/reception mechanism (20), the second opening (22c) comes into contact
with a suction device (70) and sucks the merchandise (X) to the delivery/reception table
(22) side.
