Abstract:
A conveyance system configured so that a traveling body (3) for conveying an article is installed so as to be able to travel along a travel guide (4). The power source for driving and causing the traveling body (3) to travel is a linear motor (5) comprising armatures (6), which are arranged along the travel guide (4), and a mover (7) on the secondary side installed in the traveling body (3). The travel guide (4) has rectilinear sections (4A) and a curved section (4B). The armatures (6) of the linear motor (5) are arranged along the rectilinear sections (4A) and the curved section (4B) of the travel guide (4) so as to be separated from each other. A multiple number of such traveling bodies (3) can be disposed on the travel guide (4).
