Abstract:

The present invention relates to a conveying device which comprises a conveying body (52) which adsorbs and conveys a sheet medium (P), and a pressing body (54) disposed at a plurality of positions in a width direction of an adsorption surface (522) to press the sheet medium (P) onto the adsorption surface (522) of the conveying body (52) which adsorbs the sheet medium (P) and press a portion with a weaker adsorption force (522B) of the adsorption surface (522) with more force than the other portion (522A). According to the conveying device of the present invention, the pressing body (54) comprises a large diameter portion (54A) which presses the sheet medium (P) at the plurality of positions in the width direction, and prevents the sheet medium (P) from floating at an adsorption hole non-forming area (522B) where the adsorption force from the conveying body (52) to the adsorption surface is smaller than in the vicinity thereof.
