Provided is a conveying device having a curved conveying path, which can improve the degree of freedom in design.　The conveying device comprises a fixed unit having a position information source reading unit and a plurality of stators arranged at a predetermined magnetic pole pitch side by side in one direction, a position information reading unit that reads position information from the position information source reading unit, a movable element that generates a propulsion force by using magnetic forces generated by the plurality of stators, a carrier that travels on a conveying path of the fixed unit under the effect of the propulsion force, and a controller that controls the movement of the carrier. The fixed unit has a curved portion formed by bending the conveying path in a predetermined direction, and where the curvature of a first mounting surface of the fixed unit where the position information source reading unit is mounted is different from the curvature of a second mounting surface of the fixed unit where the plurality of stators are mounted in the curved portion, the controller controls the power supplied to the plurality of stators or the movable element on the basis of the corrected magnetic pole pitch obtained by correcting the predetermined magnetic pole pitch according to the difference in the curvature.
