Abstract:
Provided is a conveying device that can support its own weight by way of a lighter mechanism. A drive device (6) for the conveying device, which raises and lowers a load weight support section along a rail (3), comprises wheel units (13) and self-servo links (14). The wheel units (13) raise and lower the load weight support section by way of rotationally driving drive wheels (15) in contact with a guide surface (11). Each self-servo link (14) has a first connection section (17) and a second connection section (18). The first connection section (17) is connected to a corresponding wheel unit (13). The second connection section (18) is rotatably supported by the load weight support section. The second connection section (18) is disposed in a location further from the guide surface (11) than the first connection section (17) is. The second connection section (18) is disposed higher than the first connection section (17). Each self-servo link (14) is disposed so that the incline angle θ of a line connecting the first connection section (17) and the second connection section (18) is less than 45 degrees from the horizontal plane.
