Abstract:
Disclosed is a conveying method such that an article-to-be-conveyed (S) is conveyed in a horizontal attitude to a conveyance destination by a robot provided with a hand (4) that is equipped with a fixed clamping member (42) and a movable clamping member (44), between which and the fixed clamping member, the article-to-be-conveyed (S) is held; that subsequently, the hand is lowered, with the movable clamping member set back to an unclamping position; and that the article-to-be-conveyed is moved onto a plurality of support pins (6) which are provided in the conveyance destination. In this method, even if a dent due to wear is generated in the fixed clamping member, the article-to-be-conveyed can be moved onto the support pins without hindrance. The direction in which the fixed clamping member (42) and the movable clamping member (44) face each other is taken as the X-axis direction. The direction in which the movable clamping member (44) advances toward the fixed clamping member (42) is taken as the positive X-axis direction. When the hand is being lowered to move the article-to-be-conveyed (S) onto the support pins (6), the hand (4) is moved in the positive X-axis direction while being lowered, or the hand (4) is reciprocated in the positive X-axis direction and the negative X-axis direction.
