Provided is a conveying system for automatic root cutting. The system comprises: a first conveying device (302) used for conveying a carrier (304) accommodating a plant (306), wherein a root system (360A) of the plant (306) extends towards the exterior of the barrier; a root cutter (20) fitted with the first conveying device and the barrier and used for cutting off the root system in the carrier conveying process; a second conveying device (10) arranged corresponding to the root cutter, and comprising a first rotary drum (102) and a second rotary drum (104); and a conveying belt (106) arranged at a peripheral portion of the first rotary drum and the second rotary drum by winding in an annular and tensioning manner, wherein the cut root system can fall onto the conveying belt in a designated area, and the conveying belt can convey the root system to a designated position. The conveying system can realize automatic cutting and automatic collection of a plant root system, so as to facilitate centralized processing of the cut root system, thus effectively increasing the production efficiency, and at the same time, improving the quality of root system cutting, and reducing mechanical damage to the plant.
