Abstract:
A conveying system for a self-propelled platform car (10). The self-propelled platform car (10) is provided with pinion gears (17) meshing with rack teeth (25a) formed on the entire regions of rack rails (25) composed of horizontal sections at the upper and lower ends of the rack rails (25) and of a vertical section located between the upper and lower ends, and the self-propelled platform car is also provided with guided wheels (18a, 18b, 19a, 19b) rolling while being guided by guide rails mounted parallel to the rack rails. The rack rails are provided with the horizontal sections, the vertical section, and curved segments between the vertical section and the horizontal sections. The guide rails are composed of pairs of sets of guide rails (21a, 21b; 22a, 22b; 32a, 32b) arranged above and below the rack rails of the upper horizontal section, in front of and behind the rack rails of the vertical section, above and below the rack rails of the lower horizontal section, and in front of and behind the rack rails of the curved segments between the vertical section and the horizontal sections. Gaps (36) for allowing preceding guided wheels (18a) to pass therethrough are formed between the vertical section and a curved segment, and gaps (35) for allowing following guided wheels (19b) to pass therethough are formed between a horizontal section and the curved segment.
