Abstract:
Provided is a conveyor belt management system which determines, as early as possible, a more suitable replacement time for a conveyor belt, and thus makes it possible to reduce the running cost of the conveyor belt. A data item that is the amount of wear on the top rubber cover of a conveyor belt installed in the site where said conveyor belt is used is input into a server 2 by an input unit 5. A computation unit 3 calculates the remaining life Ja of the conveyor belt on the basis of the input data item, a belt specifications database 4a, and an allowable range database 4b in which, for each belt specification, the allowable range for the amount of wear has been input in advance, the databases being stored in a storage unit 4. The planned life Jf of the conveyor belt is calculated by the computation unit 3 prior to use on the basis of the use conditions of said conveyor belt, the specifications of said conveyor belt, and the correlation between the actual lifespans Jr and the use conditions and belt specifications for conveyor belts that have been used thus far, and an updated correlation database 4d is used in said calculation.
