The technical problems that the invention aims to solve

The cooker hood is a kitchen appliance used for evacuating steam, smoke, odour and oil that occurs during cooking in kitchens. The fan in it sucks in the environment and

4

SUBSTITUTE SHEETS (RULE 26) absorbs air and also evacuates it with the help of a chimney or cleans it in itself. The electronic equipment used in the cooker hood is managed by electronic control. This control system consists of the power control card inside the cooker hood, the User Interface Card card where commands are given to the power control card and the communication cable connecting these unites together. When the project and applications of the state of the art are examined in detail, it is seen that these three components are combined during the assembly of the cooker hood by configuring them as separate designs. As a result of this method;

The communication cable line, in which the communication between two unites needed in the cooker hood is provided, can cause restrictions in design. The installation of the communication cable line and the assembly of the control unite consisting of two unites require more labour, as well as problems such as crushing, breaking, detachment that can occur during use or installation of the cable are faced.

Another problem of the present applications is the use of Relays, which are electro mechanical components that are short-lived, operates in a noisy way and may be subject to malfunctions such as adhesion and breakdown.

Finally, the fact that the linear regulator and switched mode transformers used in the AA / DA converting process consist of elements that take up so much space can cause size and layout problems especially in built-in devices.

Description of the Invention

The User Interface card (4) in the known control system evaluates the information coming from sensors such as touch, mechanical button or infrared and transmits it to the Power Control card (1 ) via the Communication cable (5) connecting these unites together. The Power Control card (1 ), which provides electronic control, evaluates and provides the operation, speed and lighting control of the fan in the cooker hood with respect to the incoming commands according to the user input.

On the Power Control card (1 ), the power control is provided through the Relays (2). Relays (2) are volumetrically big elements and they make sound due to its mechanical contactors while performing the opening and closing process. Relays (2) have limited lifetime mechanically and electronically. AC-DC converter (3) elements (Alternative to

6

SUBSTITUTE SHEETS (RULE 26) direct current) are used to provide the direct current requirement on the Power Control card (1). The“Cooker Hood Control Card, which is the subject of the invention, is a single board pcb. The User Interface card (4) and the Power Control card (1 ) are combined in one card and in the new design, this element is defined as the Power Control and User Interface Card (6). AC Mains line, connection of motor, lighting, which cooker hood elements to be controlled are connected directly through the Connector (10). Thus, the control system consists of one piece and there is no need for two separate cards and Communication cable (5) used for data transfer between these cards. Hence, it provided ease of assembly, labour saving, cost advantage, security and flexibility in design for the manufacturers on the production line.

The system, collected on a single card, directly processes information coming from the User Interface (7) on which the sensor group such as touch, mechanical button, infrared, etc. or screen are located. There is no need for communication tools such as communication cable (5) for communication between them. The breaking, detachment and crushing problems of the cable have been eliminated, thus clearing the system from complexity and making it more stable.

AC-DC converter (9) works with capacitive rectifying method on the circuit board in converting the alternating voltage to direct current. The number of elements used in this method is less and the used elements are physically smaller. Hence, the Power Control and User Interface card (6) has reached a small, devisable volumetric flexibility.

The Triac group (8) is used for cooker hood fan control, fan speed and light controls. The Triac group (8) is smaller than Relays (2) and they do not make mechanical noise during operation. The Triac group (8) has a longer lifetime than Relays (2).

The new Power Control and User Interface card (6) has been made easy to mount on the production line. On the production assambly, time and labour will be saved. The fact that the size of the Power Control and User Interface (6) card is small, provides flexibility for the layout place of the card in the cooker hood design for the cooker hood manufacturers.

7

SUBSTITUTE SHEETS (RULE 26) Industrial Applicability Form of the Invention

The traditional control system consisting of three elements requires the communication cable (5) line to be drawn for the communication of the electronic cards while the product mounting is being made during the cooker hood production. The communication cable (5) line, which the communication between the two unites needed in the cooker hood is provided, may cause restrictions in design. The installation of the communication cable (5) line and the assembly of the control section consisting of two unites require more labour, as well as problems such as crushing, breaking, detachment that can occur during use or installation of the cable are faced.

The control card of the present invention aims to solve the problems mentioned for built-in appliances such as cooker hoods. It is clear that the design will not be limited to the cooker hoods and can be applied to other white appliances or industrial equipment.
