This heating/stirring cooker (100) is provided with: a main body (1); a container (2) which is disposed within the main body (1) and in which an object to be cooked is placed; a stirring body (6) disposed within the container (2) so as to be attachable to and detachable from the container (2), the stirring body (6) comprising a blade (10) for stirring the object to be cooked in the container (2) and a magnet (7) disposed at a position facing an inner bottom part of the container (2) in a state in which the stirring body (6) is disposed within the container (2); a magnetic field generation unit (11) which is disposed within the main body (1) and generates a rotating magnetic field so that the rotational force of the rotating magnetic field acts on the magnet (7); and a control unit (50) which is disposed within the main body (1) and controls the magnetic field generation unit (11). The control unit (50) is configured to control the magnetic field generation unit (11) so that the direction of rotation of the rotating magnetic field is switched between a forward rotation direction and a reverse rotation direction that is reverse from the forward rotation direction, and that the number M of rotations in the reverse rotation direction is less than the number N of rotations in the forward rotation direction.
