Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cooking appliance (1) comprising: a chamber (2) for receiving the food to be cooked; a magnetron for generating microwaves; a waveguide (3) for guiding the microwaves into the chamber (2), wherein the waveguide (3) has an aperture (4) which opens into the chamber (2); and an impedance matching device (5) for adjusting the impedance of the waveguide (3).
