A cooking appliance (100). The cooking appliance (100) comprises a housing (10), a thermally conductive cavity (20) and an electric heating layer (30). The electric heating layer (30) is provided on an outer wall of the cavity (20), and the cavity (20) and the electric heating layer (30) are positioned inside the housing (10). An air gap (40) is formed between the electric heating layer (30) and the housing (10).
