Abstract:
A cooking container suitable for a simmering function is provided in a disclosed embodiment. In addition, a cooking device for providing a simmering function is provided in the disclosed embodiment. The cooking device according to the disclosed embodiment comprises: a cooking room having a cooking container accommodated therein; a high frequency heating unit for radiating a high frequency wave at the cooking container; an input unit for receiving a simmering command; and a control unit performing a cooking step of repeating, during a cooking time, a step of turning on the high frequency heating unit for a first amount of time and turning off the same for a second amount of time when the first amount of time elapses, if the simmering command is inputted through the input unit, and performing a thermal step if a door is not opened for a third amount of time after the cooking time elapses.
