Title:
COOLANT LEAK DETECTION DEVICE AND REFRIGERATION DEVICE PROVIDED THEREWITH
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/004716
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided are a coolant leak detection device which can accurately determine whether a coolant leak has occurred even when the sensors have been affected by humidity, and a refrigeration device. A coolant leak detection device (7) is provided with a first sensor (71), a second sensor (72), a calculation unit (73), and a detection unit (74). The electrostatic capacitance (Cx) of the first sensor (71) changes due to the adsorption of the refrigerator oil in an air conditioning device (1) and specific electrostatic capacitance-changing factors. The electrostatic capacitance (Cn) of the second sensor (72) changes due to specific electrostatic capacitance-changing factors but not by the adsorption of the refrigerator oil. The calculation unit (73) calculates the degree of change in the electrostatic capacitance caused by the adsorption of the refrigerator oil based on a first difference of the output of the first sensor (71) and the output of the second sensor (72). The detection unit (74) detects coolant leaks in the air conditioning device (1) based on the degree of change in the electrostatic capacitance calculated by the calculation unit (73).
