Abstract:
A cooling device (3) for cooling liquid metal with water is provided with an outer container (30), a cover (15), a partition tube (49), a heat transfer tube (37), an outer tube (48), an inner tube (47), and an electromagnetic pump (11). An injection opening (31) and discharge opening (32) for liquid metal, an inlet (33) and outlet (34) for water, and an opening closed by the cover (15) are formed in the outer container (30). The partition tube (49) is provided in the interior of the outer container (30). The heat transfer tube (37) extends in a spiral from the inlet (33) to the outlet (34) in the interior of the ring-shaped space between the outer container (30) and the partition tube (49). The inner tube (47) and the outer tube (48) connect in the space between the outer container (30) and the partition tube (49), and are divided into an outbound channel (46) extending toward the opening closed by the cover (15), and a return channel (45) extending toward the discharge opening (32) from the terminus of the outbound channel (46). The electromagnetic pump (11) applies propulsion in a manner such that the liquid metal flows from the outbound channel (46) toward the return channel (45).
