Abstract:
In a cooling device for a vehicular internal combustion engine and a method for controlling the temperature of a hydraulic fluid for an automatic transmission according to the invention of the present application, when the temperature of cooling water at an outlet of the internal combustion engine is lower than a threshold value T1, a thermostat causes the cooling water having passed through the internal combustion engine to bypass a radiator and flow into a warmer function-equipped oil cooler of the automatic transmission, and, when the temperature of cooling water at the outlet of the internal combustion engine becomes higher than the threshold value T1, the thermostat causes the cooling water having passed through the radiator to flow in to the warmer function-equipped oil cooler. Accordingly, ATF cooling performance is improved without impairing warm-up performance.
