Abstract:

Provided is a cooling device which cools an object to be cooled in a state where an electromagnetic field or electric field is applied thereto, and is capable of efficiently supercooling a product. The cooling device is equipped with a freezer for cooling the object to be cooled, an electromagnetic wave radiation unit which generates an electromagnetic field to be applied to the object to be cooled, and is capable of varying the intensity of the electromagnetic field, a control unit which controls the operation of the freezer and the electromagnetic wave radiation unit, and while the electromagnetic field is being generated, performs a supercooling operation for cooling the object to be cooled by using the freezer, and a temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of the object to be cooled. The control unit adjusts the intensity of the electromagnetic field generated by the electromagnetic wave radiation unit on the basis of the temperature measured by the temperature sensor during the supercooling operation.
