Abstract:
A cooling device 30 that cools a prescribed area by means of air cooled by an evaporator 31, and that is equipped with: a condenser 33 which, together with the evaporator 31, a compressor 32, and an expansion mechanism 34, forms a refrigeration circuit in which a refrigerant is sealed, and which dissipates heat from the refrigerant compressed by the compressor 32 into air passing the vicinity of the condenser, thereby condensing the refrigerant; an evaporation tray 36 which is arranged on the back side of the condenser 33 and collects condensed water generated by the evaporator 31; and a substantially rectangular parallelepiped evaporation suction body 37, which is erected in the evaporation tray 36 and draws in the condensed water by capillary action, and which evaporates the condensed water due to the passage, in the vicinity of the evaporation suction body, of air into which heat has been dissipated by the condenser 33. An upper end portion 37a of the evaporation suction body 37 is formed so as to gradually extend upward from a front side toward a back side.
