Abstract:
The present invention relates to a battery module wherein a plurality of unit modules consisting of one or more battery cells are arranged on a side surface of the battery module or a cooling element which is mounted on the top or the bottom of a battery pack wherein a plurality of battery modules are arranged on a side surface thereof, and removes heat generated from the battery cell during charging and discharging, and the cooling element includes a heat conduction medium which is located on the top or the bottom of the battery module or the battery pack and comprises an upper plate and a lower plate of which the top and bottom are separated; and refrigerant pipes are formed with a hollow structure to allow refrigerants to flow inside, and include a first pipe mounted between the upper plate and the lower plate, and a second pipe which is integrally connected to the first pipe, and located on the front surface and/or the rear surface of the battery module or the battery pack.
