Abstract:
Provided are a cooling method and device for a forging valve that have superior cooling capacity and can greatly reduce cycle time. A forged valve (1) brought in and mounted on a water-cooled, level straight line shaped valve transport path (22A) such that an umbrella front surface (1a1) is in contact with the same is moved smoothly a prescribed distance forward by a valve transport mechanism (20A) while the valve (1) that was previously moved is moved forward smoothly a prescribed distance, thereby intermittently transporting the valve aligned in a row at the prescribed distance while the umbrella front surface (1a1) is kept in a state of contact with the valve transport path (22A) in conjunction with the operation of bringing in the valve (1). The valve is cooled during the above process.
