Abstract:
A cooling structure for a high-voltage electrical component for a vehicle comprises: an air inlet duct (26) which is provided with an air inlet opening (32) disposed above the seat cushion (6) of the rear seat (7) and supplies air within the vehicle compartment (9) to a battery unit (21), an inverter unit (22), and a DC-DC converter unit (23); and a cooling fan (30) which causes cooling air to flow through the air inlet duct (26). An opening (35) for introducing air into the air inlet duct (26) is formed in a side seatback (4) disposed on the outer side, in the widthwise direction, of the main seatback (5) of the rear seat (7). The configuration enables, even in a vehicle of type in which seat side garnishes cannot be mounted or are not mounted, the opening for introducing air within the vehicle compartment into the air inlet duct to be disposed in the rear seat in such a manner that the amount of suction air is sufficient and that the opening does not make contact with the occupant when the occupant gets into and out of the vehicle.
