A cooling system of a digit generating unit of vertical diesel engine is provided, wherein a wind cowl (1), an inlet pipe (2) and a vertical diesel engine casing (3) form a main cooling ventilating chamber (A); a left wind plate (5), a right wind plate (6), an upside wind cowl (4), a cylinder cover (13) and the vertical diesel engine casing form left and right main cooling ventilating chambers (B, C) at the upside of the cylinder; an underside wind plate (7) is fixed at the bottom of the vertical diesel engine casing (3); a side cover (8) fixed on the vertical diesel engine casing (3) and the casing (3) form a bottom main cooling ventilatingchamber (D); and the side cover (8) and a back cowl (9) of a sound absorber fixed on the side cover (8) form a sub-cooling cycle chamber (E). The system uses the main cooling ventilating chamber, the left and right main cooling ventilating chambers, the bottom main cooling ventilating chamber and the sub-cooling cycle chamber to stepped cool the heating components of the digit generating unit of vertical diesel engine, so cooling efficiency is high.
